As an IT Senior Programmer/Analyst, you will focus on the development and support of existing applications and develop new applications to support BCG's Partner Services Group. You will work with within a cross-functional team consisting of Project Leaders, Business Analysts, and others to provide high quality applications which respond to and meet the business needs of the entire BCG organization. You will be expected to participate in hands-on development activities as well as providing technical guidance of development activities to successfully execute projects. Success will require the being both flexible and adaptable.
  • Under the direction of the Business Systems Manager - Partner Services HR, enhance and support various internally facing applications that support the partnership.
  • Partner with business and functional Business Analysts to provide technical insight and provide estimates
  • Demonstrates a strong technical acumen and provide technical solutions assessments to drive key outcomes
  • Ensure the overall integrity of supported code bases and validate it against specifications.
  • Assist with code deployments and release schedules.
  • Participcate in creating technical documentation
  • Handle primary support for responsible applications
  • College degree, preferably in computer science, IT or another technical subject area
  • 5+ years of experience developing enterprise level applications
  • Strong experience developing standards-compliant Web applications using front-end Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, JSON, XML/XSL, etc.
  • Expertise in Microsoft ASP.NET/MVC4, C#
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud development strategies
  • Experience with Classic ASP desired
  • VBA experience in a professional environment
  • Experience working with external application development providers
  •  Background in mobile application development (native or responsive/adaptive Web apps) a plus
  • Strong background in database design and development with SQL Server, including T-SQL
  • Experience with Microsoft's Team Foundation Server including release management with MS Build preferred
