Content Manager, Global Speakers Bureau

Job Description:

The Global Speakers Bureau Manager is responsible for the search, selection, and confirmation of speakers for high-visibility external speaking engagements that support the demand generation, sales, and technology functions of the business. Speakers include Workhuman senior executives, customers, and outside subject matter experts. In addition, this person will develop the narratives, presentations, talking points, and/or question sets that align to these respective sessions.  

This person will work with our Senior Global Speakers Bureau Manager to leverage an external content advisory council, as well as work with an internal team of stakeholders, to ensure all content meets attendees' needs and supports Workhuman business priorities. This role helps enable Workhuman to drive its global thought leadership, build awareness for our executives, amplify key business messages, and create a conversation with current and future customers.

Knowledge of or willingness to quickly learn the HR space is a must. This role will be expected to not only understand social recognition, continuous performance management, and DE&I, but entrench themselves in this world to elevate Workhuman through high quality programming. 

This role is a part of the larger Corporate Communications team within the Brand Marketing department.  Additionally, it will interface with Workhuman executives to secure and guide speaking opportunities for them.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and extremely organized individual with exceptional writing and research skills, as well as relentless attention to detail. You will utilize your excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure optimal results.


  • Project-manage the search, selection, and confirmation of speakers for all engagements that support the demand generation, sales, and technology functions of the business.  

  • Create clear, concise, and compelling content in the form of PowerPoint decks, talking points, and question sets for webinars, executive roundtables, panel discussions, online summits, and conferences. 

  • Lead preparation calls with speakers to ensure deliverables meet the content and messaging goals for the event. 

  • Write session abstracts that outline key learning objectives for each opportunity.

  • Create speaker briefs with detailed information that enables the speaker to communicate to the right audience.

  • Research, pitch, and support Workhuman executives in speaker roles at third party conferences.

  • Build an expertise in the HR and social recognition space to effectively select speakers and develop presentations. 

  • Create an unparalleled speaker experience with increased engagement and communication.

  • Measure and report on results (evaluations, attendance, feedback) on all content and communicate findings back to key stakeholders. Modify processes to adopt best practices and incorporate feedback as appropriate.


  • You have experience working directly with senior executives, are a strong collaborator, and can utilize your storytelling abilities to create engaging presentations and sessions. 

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or event programming with emphasis on speaker management and content development.

  • An eye toward what is engaging and informative – the ability to know what makes a great speaker and dialogue at an event.

  • Collaborate with and prepare speakers and moderators accordingly by leading exploratory content calls and dry run sessions.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.

  • Experience collaborating with C-suite executives and high-level stakeholders.

  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment with confidence to gracefully multitask on many projects at once.

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business, or related field is preferred.

  • Experience creating content for the HR industry is a plus.
