Director of Sales and Business Development

Cangrade is a bias-free, AI-based hiring solution revolutionizing the way that companies hire. We’re looking for a strategic Director of Sales and Business Development to own Cangrade’s sales organization and rapid revenue growth. The Director of Sales and Business Development will be a changemaker and a leader in our organization, developing sales strategy, processes, and goals, and managing their execution. The ideal candidate will be comfortable testing new approaches, taking risks, and owning their metrics. They will be experienced in growing revenue independently, but also in collaborating cross-functionally to ensure offerings are competitive and well-positioned. 

Our team is based in Cambridge, MA, and we would prefer someone within driving distance to our office for when our team connects in person. However, we are open to letting the right person be entirely remote. Growth Strategy

- Define Cangrade’s go-to-market strategy and manage its execution

Identify opportunities for market expansion and product adoption

Establish a strategy to identify target markets and top prospects

Set meaningful sales department goals and metrics

Deal and Pipeline Management

Establish a process to develop and maintain Cangrade’s pipeline

Create frameworks and templates to nurture and close both deal and business opportunities

Manage relationships and mitigate roadblocks with customer procurement teams and stakeholders 

Handle customer invoices, payments, and legal agreements


5+ years of experience in B2B sales

Track record of achieving sales goals

Experience developing sales strategies and managing their execution 

Previous leadership experience

History of collaboration with departments outside of sales

Commitment to transparency and knowledge sharing

Desire to drive and own the sales function strategically

Excitement to tackle new challenges, and grow with Cangrade
