The Opportunity:

The role will work closely with Finance management to and be responsible for the planning, preparation and analysis of the USA annual budget, quarterly forecasts and monthly financial reports. The role will involve significant business partnering with leaders in the various functional areas in the US with an initial focus on operating expenses.  You will be responsible for managing the payroll, sales commission reporting and accounts payable function for the USA business.  Additionally, the Finance Manager is responsible for establishing strong process for expense approval including contract review to ensure that third party services and other non-inventory purchases are in line with the operating budget.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Support the team for the annual budget and quarterly forecasts process
  • Prepare, review month-end variance analysis to plan and distribute to Vice President level
  • Monitoring and analysing monthly operating expenditure of the business
  • Preparation and review of detailed financial models, KPI development, measurement and analysis
  • Provision and review of detailed financial information and analysis to support business planning and decision-making processes within the business
    • Manage team of 3 employees performing payroll, sales commission, financial planning and accounts payable for USA business functions
    • Partner with Legal to design and execute an efficient and effective contract process for third party services and non-inventory purchases
  • Create effective benchmarks for vendor evaluation
    • Perform ongoing contract review to ensure that key dates are tracked and appropriate actions are taken well in advance of contract renewal dates; keeping consistent communication with functional leaders
  • Seek, support and implement cost reduction opportunities

  • Highly motivated team player / leader with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Ability to perform cost analysis, internal and external benchmarking and market trend analysis to support vendor negotiations and measure operating efficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build close, trusting relationships with internal stakeholders; ensuring strong partnerships cross-functionally in the Company
  • 7+ years experience in a similar role essential
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting preferred
