Sr. Test Technician
The Sr. Test Technician, under general supervision, will perform the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems. The Sr. Test Technician will perform product development activities including interpretation, planning and implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements. This role provides existing product line support in design activities and/or modification of hardware in production. This test equipment The Sr. Test Technician will utilize a variety of engineering tools including electrical, electronic, mechanical measurement and controls, mechanical fixtures and test software which will be used in local and global manufacturing facilities.
What you will do:
Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Lead work with no direct supervision.
Train, organize, guide other Test Technicians.
Document and prepare test samples, become certified to, and conduct standardized (ISTA/ASTM) and custom tests.
Author, publish, and validate new test methods & procedures.
Summarize results & data analysis.
Publish conclusions and present final reports.
Oversee & train others in the proper set-up, operation, maintenance and calibration of lab apparatus & precision test equipment.
Conduct or oversee the testing & performance validation of electro/mechanical components, sub-assemblies, product prototypes, packaging materials & components and beverage formulas.
Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient workplace.
Expert-level technological aptitude and be highly skilled in the use of hand-tools, shop & power tools, precision measurement tools, data recording devices, and communication computer skills.
Demonstrate an extraordinary work ethic and commitment to projects, timelines, and successful outcomes.
Follow all Keurig Green Mountain policies and procedures.
What you must have:
Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
10+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with automated test fixtures including programming with LabVIEW and or Arduino.
Strong project management, organizational leadership, and documentation skills.
3D Cad experience, SolidWorks Preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Ability to multitask and maintain focus on priorities.
Excellent communication and High-Performance Team building skills.
Experience in Food, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Appliance Manufacturing industries is a plus.
Up to 10% domenstic travel.
