Workhuman is looking for a highly motivated and proven B2B brand storyteller and cross-portfolio marketer executive with a passion and a record turning an incredible business into an iconic brand. The ideal candidate is a proven and highly networked digital marketing leader and relentless champion of the Workhuman brand and our growing suite of solutions. An experienced brand and solution marketing visionary, you will play an instrumental role in building a function and team to lead our strategic corporate brand and cross-portfolio marketing efforts. The Vice President of Strategic and Cross-Portfolio Brand Marketing is roll-up-the-sleeves leader who is passionate about creating the human workplace, demonstrates customer empathy, and loves collaboration, creativity, and strategic execution across all platforms. Most importantly, this person will lift our team to higher heights and greater performance.
As part of our Brand Marketing Team, you will be the chief storyteller responsible for creating break-through-the-noise positioning and messaging that grows our brand, and strengthens its equity through awareness, perception, and vendor of choice selection. You will lead top-level creative agency relationships while working closely with our Brand Design, Internal Creative Agency and Production Studio, Corporate Communications and Content, Digital Ecosystem, Product Leadership, Sales, and Customer organizations to create a cohesive brand story and solid Go-To-Market strategy that builds urgency in the market for our world class Social Recognition and Performance Management solutions.
Main duties & responsibilities:
Lead a small, mighty, nimble team of world class marketers to drive the brand and cross-portfolio positioning and messaging function.
Accelerate the growth our business into an iconic brand through measurable brand equity data points related to awareness, perception, and market selection.
Develop messaging that aligns with and elevates our brand along the needs and decision-making criteria of our buyer, ultimately elevating our brand to a C-suite persona.
Work with members of the firm's Compliance team to ensure strict adherence to applicable guidelines.
Direct, motivate, inspire, and enable every Workhuman employee and contractor to be a brand Ambassador, every customer to be a brand evangelist, and every industry influencer to be a brand amplifier.
Create branding with an eye to the production and marketing needs for the sales, customer and product departments and external customer while collaborating with other leaders on implementing an integrated enterprise-wide branding and marketing plan.
Translate the company’s business objectives, market opportunities and portfolio of offerings into a formal, cohesive go-to-market architecture.
Working together with Product Management, provide insight to inform and support the identification and development of new cross-suite opportunities.
Understand target buyer needs, market trends and the competitive landscape.
Create a portfolio architecture aligned with the business strategy, and oversee portfolio strategy and rationalization.
Build the go-to-market plan to support and grow the portfolio of offerings, including prioritizing and aligning target audiences, developing effective messaging and building content architecture.
Oversee launch planning for new offerings – including an enterprise-wide process and template – that incorporates products, solutions and services where applicable.
Conduct routine assessments of the organization’s go-to-market processes and address gaps in performance.
Required skills and experience:
Undergraduate degree and MBA preferred.
15+ years of relevant work experience as a strategic, outcome-based innovator of high profile, industry-leading brands.
Demonstrated expertise in B2B and HR technology marketing with proven experience in up leveling to C-Suite personas.
Exceptional writing and editing skills.
Ability to develop and deliver on C-suite and board level communications.
Ability to work independently and instigate, lead, and manage complex development projects.
