The Arc of Massachusetts Disability Partnership Program

Tuesday, September 20, 2022 (7:30 AM - 9:00 AM) (EDT)

Description

Disability touches the lives of a large portion of your employees and colleagues, whether they themselves have a disability or are caring for a family member who does. Prior to the pandemic, there was considerable energy and enthusiasm driving Employee Resource Groups (ERG) addressing issues surrounding disabilities or Disability Resource Groups (DRG). As is the case with most aspects of our lives and work, things are not the same. We have lost connections and momentum. People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families have been hit especially hard and are facing tremendous isolation and inequity. The Arc of Massachusetts President Janet Rico, Ph.D., Immediate Past President Scott Borchardt, and Executive Director Leo Sarkissian will facilitate a discussion on the pandemic’s impact on DRGs and ERGs and how we can move forward together to serve business needs and equity for people with IDD in the workforce and the community at large. Based on this conversation, The Arc will follow up with specific suggestions for action and partnership. Coffee and continental breakfast provided. RSVP to Katrin Aback at aback@arcmass.org or 781-891-6270 x105 by Monday, September 19
